About the role

As a Student Ultrasound Technologist, you will contribute to our mission of making communities healthier by applying your skills, compassion, and dedication.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Assists with image acquisition and documentation under the supervision of a qualified sonographer.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with imaging quality, taking corrective action as needed.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
• Transports patients to and from the Medical Imaging department safely and courteously.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound program.
• 6 months' experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
