Student Tech Liaison (FOR PNWU ENROLLED STUDENTS ONLY)
Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit medical institution founded in 2005. Located in Yakima, WA, the university enrolls over 550 students in programs such as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and graduate biomedical and occupational therapy degrees. About the role
The Student Tech Liaison ensures that classroom and event audiovisual equipment functions properly, providing a smooth learning experience for faculty and students. The position works an average of five hours per week and is available to currently enrolled first‑ and second‑year PNWU students.
Responsibilities
- Set up and assist faculty with equipment in instructional spaces.
- Set up and operate equipment for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Experience: General knowledge of basic Windows operating system (required); preferred experience with setup and configuration of audiovisual equipment (projectors, microphones, PC/Mac inputs/outputs, document cameras).
- Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Strong organization, interpersonal, and planning skills; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively and adapt to varied circumstances; problem‑solving and project‑management capabilities; proficiency with multiple computer programs and databases; ability to prioritize, self‑direct workflow, and manage people and projects.
Pay
Hiring rate: $19.00 per hour.
Schedule
Average of five hours per week, coordinated with other students to ensure campus coverage.
