About the role
The successful candidate will provide educational support services to students with special needs within DuPage County schools. Responsibilities include developing individualized education plans, facilitating classroom activities, and collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure student success.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Assisting in classroom activities and providing instructional support
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student learning outcomes
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on student progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Illinois teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
- Proficiency in using technology tools for special education
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
