Student Support Specialist (part-time) - 21st Century - Reading School District 26-27 SY
Part-time Student Support Specialists are needed within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. Multiple openings are available working with elementary school-age students, supporting English Language Learners and/or academic support students. Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred
- Experience working with the applicable age group preferred
- Computer and current technology knowledge required
- Must have Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check (available through CCIU upon hire)
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lessons related to student needs
- Provide an engaging environment designed to meet the needs of students
- Implement behavior management strategies that are developmentally appropriate
- Plan and implement a daily learning schedule that includes:
- Physical movement
- Social and emotional learning
- Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) activities
- Maintain student attendance and participation data

- Riverside Elementary
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 5:30pm (No program on Fridays)
Pay
Project Band 13: $31.82 - $39.77 per hour (Placement on scale commensurate with years of experience in a relevant position for the 2026-2027 school year)
