Student Support Specialist

About the role

BASIS Oro Valley Primary is seeking a Student Support Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will help build and maintain a strong, positive achievement-oriented school culture, manage behavior programs, and model respectful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in resolving communication issues between parents and students
• Organizes student arrivals and dismissals
• Reviews and analyzes assessment results for new students and state-required tests
• Maintains student discipline and documents incidents
• Communicates with parents about student performance and conduct
• Develops and executes academic and behavioral support plans
• Works with teachers to build positive relationships with parents
• Participates in faculty and staff meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
• 3-5 years experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred)
• Experience in behavior management or related field preferred
