About the role
BASIS Oro Valley Primary is seeking a Student Support Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will help build and maintain a strong, positive achievement-oriented school culture, manage behavior programs, and model respectful relationships.
Responsibilities
- Supports teachers in resolving communication issues between parents and students
- Organizes student arrivals and dismissals
- Reviews and analyzes assessment results for new students and state-required tests
- Maintains student discipline and documents incidents
- Communicates with parents about student performance and conduct
- Develops and executes academic and behavioral support plans
- Works with teachers to build positive relationships with parents
- Participates in faculty and staff meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
- 3-5 years experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred)
- Experience in behavior management or related field preferred
