Student Supervisor- Part-time

Qualifications

• Ability to use discretion and good judgment
• Ability to be fair, friendly and consistent
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students and staff
• Knowledge and willingness to enforce school rules and regulations
• Ability to react constructively to unique and emergency situations

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior and movement in hallways, cafeterias and locker rooms
• Check entrances and exits regularly
• Check bathrooms before school, after school and each hour during the school day
• Help direct visitors entering the school
• Escort students from their class as requested by Administrators
• Help direct students during fire alarms and lockdowns
• Perform duties assigned by the Administrator in designated areas: hall locations, common areas, cafeteria, washrooms, locker rooms, outside areas and parking lots

Supervision

Student Supervisors are under the supervision of the Assistant Principal.

Schedule

Shift: 10 AM to 2 PM (4 hours per day, part‑time).

Terms of Employment

10‑month appointment. Salary and benefits will be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the United Support Staff Council. Position pay range follows the Support Staff Contract salary schedules, and benefits follow the Support Staff Contract benefits.
