Student Success Coordinator
About the role
The Student Success Coordinator role is deeply student-centered, data-informed, and outcomes-driven. This role focuses on retention and certification but operates as a unified member of the Student Success team, sharing ownership of overall student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active caseload of students and meet defined performance metrics, which may include retention and persistence, certification readiness and attainment, and graduation progression
- Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students throughout their academic journey, building rapport, trust, and accountability
- Proactively engage students to identify and address academic and other barriers to persistence, certification readiness, and completion
- Drive retention and certification outcomes through early intervention, milestone tracking, and consistent follow-up
- Support accommodation requests, resource referrals, and appropriate escalation as needed
- Accurately document all student interactions and outcomes
- Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, and required audits in addition to weekly and monthly reporting on student success metrics
- Support, participate in, and/or facilitate student success events and initiatives such as retention workshops, certification readiness activities, career fairs, and alumni events, collaborating with other departments as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, including required onboarding and ongoing training related to student success systems, performance metrics, and operational processes
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in student services, advising, career services, workforce development, recruiting, or a related support role; 1 year of related experience in a proprietary (for profit), post-secondary educational setting preferred
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills with a student-centered approach; Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with shared accountability; Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems; A positive, team-oriented approach and willingness to work outside regular business hours and travel locally or overnight as needed

Compensation
Up to $27 per hour
