Student Success Coach
Under limited supervision, this position provides direct service and support to prospective, current, and former students from the point of application through paid enrollment in students’ first semester using a case management approach. Responsibilities include information regarding the College’s programs and services, admissions and registration, proof of residency, transcript evaluation, orientation, assessment of learning, facilitating student engagement in academic and career planning activities, student success skills, college policies and procedures, and student co- and extra-curricular activities.
Responsibilities
- Daily - 25%: Support students from admission through first-term paid enrollment, including:
- Engaging students in academic and career planning assessments
- Interpreting assessments and assisting in the development of a first-term academic plan
- Clarifying career, major, and academic goals
- Facilitating learning opportunities about college policies, student success skills, and student life
Requires a complete understanding of the 8 Pathways and associated college programs of study.
- Daily - 25%: Collect, review, and assess applications and related documents for compliance and eligibility for admission. Determine if testing is required and inform students. Provide guidance on the application process, admissions policies, and document requirements. Respond to student inquiries about advisement, registration, transfer information, and other procedures. Manage and improve web-based/electronic advising activities.
- Daily - 15%: Support students in meeting deadlines for completing FAFSA, additional required documents if selected for verification, and the Next Generation application.
- Daily - 10%: Assist the Associate Dean by providing lead support for daily functions to Admissions & Registration Specialists and Admissions Officers. Facilitate advising at New Student Orientation sessions.
- Per Term - 10%:
- Schedule and monitor First Year Experience sessions and advising appointments
- Assist with updates and revisions to student services and academic affairs materials and multimedia presentations
- Conduct/facilitate group advising and registration sessions for new students
- Weekly - 10%: Review transcripts to ensure eligibility for admission to specific programs, including unofficial evaluation of transfer credits. Monitor receipt of official transcripts and collaborate with transcript evaluators for timely evaluation.
- Other - 5%: Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree in Counseling or Education preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Experience/Training: Six years of relevant experience.

Pay
$52,900 - $62,158 (Salary commensurate with education and experience)
