Student Staff
About the role
The Student Staff is responsible for assisting operations of the HRL team. They maintain confidentiality in all matters concerning student/staff discipline and any other matters. They remain behind the front desk to monitor all building access, answer the desk phones professionally, assist residents with work order requests, check in/out loan keys to residents, adhere to employment schedule and dress code, enforce policies/procedures of the residence halls and the university (including campus, state, and federal regulations), and perform other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters concerning student/staff discipline and any other matters.
- Remain behind the front desk to monitor all building access.
- Answer the desk phones professionally.
- Absorb residents with work order requests.
- Check in/out loan keys to residents.
- Adhere to employment schedule and dress code.
- Enforce policies/procedures of the residence halls and the university (including campus, state, and federal regulations).
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Current student at Cornish College of the Arts.
- Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Possess troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Schedule
Mid-to-high paced, mid-to-high noise level, requires occasional lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, close vision, and distance vision.
