Student Sonographer - PRN

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures using a variety of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, techniques and practices.
• Prepares patient for procedure under immediate supervision.
• Performs procedures using equipment technologies, techniques and practices associated with primary specialty for which the student is being trained.
• Maintains department records, reports and files.
• Orders and stocks all supplies and ensures procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
• No prior experience required.

Skills

• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment associated with primary specialty in which the student is being trained.
• Ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and other staff members.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
