PRN Sonographer

About the role

Seeking a Registered Sonographer for a PRN position to perform ultrasound imaging, including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular studies on adult and pediatric patients. The role involves ensuring equipment readiness, conducting independent examinations, and documenting procedures. The sonographer may assist with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages, and perform portable and after-hours exams as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper function and readiness of ultrasound equipment.
• Perform imaging examinations and document procedures accurately.
• Conduct studies independently, including portable and off-site exams.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent trade school.
• Licenses: RDMS or equivalent required; RDCS or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Certifications: CPR, with additional certification (e.g., RDCS) advantageous.
