About the role
The Shift Manager plays a key role in the daily operation of our entertainment center. This person is responsible for helping lead the team, ensuring guests have a great experience, and making sure the facility runs smoothly throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Leading, supporting, and directing employees during each shift
- Helping create a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment
- Providing excellent customer service and handling guest questions or concerns
- Overseeing the flow of daily operations and adjusting priorities as needed
- Assisting with birthday parties, group events, and other guest experiences
- Supporting operations at the front counter, attractions, bar, kitchen, or other areas as needed
- Training and coaching employees and helping them understand expectations
- Ensuring employees are completing their responsibilities and following company policies and procedures
- Helping maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the facility
- Handling opening and closing responsibilities
- Managing cash, payments, and other shift-related administrative responsibilities
- Addressing problems as they arise and using good judgment to find solutions
- Communicating important information, concerns, and updates to the management team
- Stepping in wherever needed to support the team and ensure a great guest experience
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively with a team
- Dependable, responsible, and able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Ability to stay calm and make good decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling customer concerns and resolving issues professionally
- Ability to give direction, hold employees accountable, and lead by example
- Ability to be on your feet and actively involved throughout the shift
- Ability to work in multiple areas of the business and step in where needed
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Experience
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Experience working in hospitality, entertainment, restaurants, retail, or another customer-focused environment
- Experience managing or leading a team of employees
- Experience with cash handling and opening/closing procedures
- Experience handling customer complaints or resolving difficult situations
- Knowledge or experience with food, beverage, or bar operations
- Experience working with parties, events, or large groups
Pay
$15 per hour
Schedule
- 20+ hours per week (part-time) to 35+ hours per week (full-time)
- Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
