Student Services Specialist-Fort Riley

About the role

Barton Community College, Fort Riley Military Academic Services, is seeking applicants for a replacement Student Services Specialist to join our team. We need a people-focused professional who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly.

As the first point of contact for students visiting our Fort Riley office, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience. You’ll assist current and prospective students by providing general information about Barton, answering questions about programs and classes, and helping students connect with the right resources, including scheduling appointments with advisors.

Responsibilities

• Process student enrollments and transcripts
• Work with multiple operating systems to assist students and staff
• Answer phone calls and emails
• Perform other administrative duties

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in Business Technology or related field preferred
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff
• Work with students of diverse ages and backgrounds
• Work independently and multitask
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
• Computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required
• Military knowledge is preferred
