About the Role
The Department of Health and Exercise Science is one of the largest interdisciplinary programs in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences, offering nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate programs in exercise physiology, health promotion, sports data analytics, and related fields. The Student Services Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the department's graduate program and daily office operations.
Serving as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, this position coordinates departmental communications, scheduling, events, records management, and administrative processes that support the department's academic mission.
Responsibilities
- Managing front office operations
- Coordinating graduate program administration and confidential records
- Maintaining departmental communications, including email, website, and social media
- Coordinating room reservations and special events
- Serving as the department's liaison for information technology, office equipment, and administrative services
- Supporting office operations by coordinating visitor parking, ordering supplies, and ensuring efficient day-to-day departmental functions
- Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining confidentiality
- Performing other duties as assigned to successfully support departmental operations and strategic objectives
Travel may be required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferences
- OU or Higher Education experience
- Administrative, website, customer, or student services experience
