Student Services Specialist - Advanced

About the role

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of the Student Teams Achieving Results (STAR) program, including recruiting, selecting students, contracting, planning events, and managing the budget.
  • Communicate regularly with major stakeholders, including students, companies, faculty advisors, and potential corporate partners, using TEAMS and other tools for overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work in all operational aspects of the program, ensuring smooth execution of the 4.5 academic credit hours course offered in the spring semester.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Management Preferences: Prior experience in academic program management; proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with Customer Relationship Software (CRM).
