Primary Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director of Student Services.
- Maintain confidential student records and documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Aid with compliance activities related to:
- Chapter 14 (Special Education Services and Programs)
- Chapter 15 (Protected Handicapped Students)
- Chapter 16 (Gifted Education)
- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Coordinate and schedule IEP, GIEP, Section 504, manifestation determination and other student services meetings.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, notices and compliance documentation.
- Track timelines and maintain records required for state and federal reporting.
- Serve as liaison among administrators, staff, families, outside agencies and service providers.
- Afford assistance with tuition agreements, transportation requests and contracted service documentation.
- Process purchase orders, requisitions and budget-related records for the Student Services Department.
- Support data collection and reporting requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- Maintain department calendars, schedules and filing systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Superintendent.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or post-secondary coursework in business, office administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of secretarial or administrative support experience preferred.
- Experience in a public school setting preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, student information systems and database management.
- Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student information.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Education reporting systems and special education processes preferred.

- Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
