MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles support alternative certification pathways, helping professionals transition into education careers while addressing critical staffing needs in our schools.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned subject areas and grade levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the school or district (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Commitment to pursuing or holding Michigan teacher certification (alternative certification pathways available).
- Demonstrated subject-matter expertise or professional experience relevant to the position.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state certification requirements.
