About the role
The Student Services Coordinator partners with the Director of Student Services to support the development, alignment, and continuous improvement of district-wide systems related to Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), non-exclusionary practices, and student discipline within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a district content expert in SEL, PBIS, and non-exclusionary practices
- Provides coaching and consultation to building teams
- Develops tools, training materials, and implementation guides for school-based teams
- Manages multiple projects and tasks at one time
- Collaborates and consults with school-based teams
- Facilitates PBIS/SEL teams
- Provides technical assistance and support to buildings
- Supports data collection and data-based decision-making processes
- Creates/manage on-line resources for staff
Requirements
- Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education
- Combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work
- Master's degree in school counseling, social work, education, or related field or equivalent
Qualifications
- Required: Licensed by the Minnesota Department of Education
- Preferred: Two or more years of experience supporting the implementation of PBIS, SEL or non-exclusionary practices
- Preferred: Master's degree in school counseling, social work, education, or related field or equivalent
Skills
- Expertise in SEL, PBIS, and non-exclusionary practices
- Strong coaching and consultation skills
- Ability to develop and implement training materials
- Experience with data collection and analysis
