Student Radiology Technologist

Scope of work

Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures
• Ensuring equipment and supplies are present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each procedure
• Coordinating and performing routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma, and surgery procedures according to established standards
• Following Corewell’s philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in the second year of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, and/or Ultrasonography program
• Must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross
