Responsibilities

• Perform functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• Position patients and conduct radiographic exams; prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications.
• Work in compliance with the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.
• Position patients for technical procedures as authorized by a licensed Radiologic Technologist and perform basic patient care tech responsibilities.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of terminology, processes, procedures, and regulations related to Diagnostic Imaging.
• Collect patient data under the direction of licensed personnel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Enrollment in an accredited radiography program with an anticipated completion date as outlined in the program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
