About the role

The David C. Frederick Honors College-Dean is seeking an energetic Student Programs Coordinator to support the Office of Student Services.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements programming that engages students and builds community within the FHC.
  • Attends student-sponsored social events, monitors organizations' financials and performs reconciliations, and ensures compliance with all University policies.
  • Publicizes student events, assists in developing promotional materials, and registers and monitors new student organizations and requests.
  • Works closely with the Director of Student Services to plan and execute FHC student events, communicating clearly and effectively with both internal and external audiences, including student groups.
  • Prepares reports and correspondence, safeguards sensitive and confidential information, and manages multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Buils effective, harmonious relationships with faculty, students, and staff, along with a student-centered approach and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience in student affairs, higher education administration, or related student programs is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to stand up to an hour at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Some walking around campus will be necessary.

Qualifications

  • An excellent written and oral communicator who can work independently while remaining adaptable amid ambiguity and change.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and event-planning skills.
  • Proficiency with the full MS Office suite.
  • A collaborative approach to working within the FHC and across campus.

Pay

$51,000 - $54,000 annually.

Schedule

M-F 8:30 am- 5:00pm.
