Student - Parking Enforcement Officer

About the Role

Utah Valley University is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol assigned areas of the university, enforce parking regulations, and issue citations to vehicles in violation.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile computer equipment with printers
• Communicate using two-way radios with 10 codes
• Place tire immobilizers on vehicles
• Respond to motor assist calls
• Assist with traffic and pedestrian control
• Help with accidents or other requests by campus police
• Work during special events such as UVU and High School graduations
• Collect money from pay stations
• Perform routine daily inspections and maintenance of enforcement vehicles (e.g., filling gas tank, checking oil, tire pressure)
• Wear an issued uniform and answer questions from students and the public regarding parking regulations, campus buildings, and points of interest
• Perform other job-related tasks as directed

Requirements

• Must be a current student at UVU
• Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Safely operate all parking enforcement vehicles
  • Use relevant equipment including desktop and laptop computers, two-way radios, and electronic parking citation devices
  • Comprehend and apply new knowledge in an ongoing training environment
