Student Nutrition Assistant - 7.5 hours

About the Role

Student Nutrition Assistant at Prairie Ridge Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Prepares foods from recipes or instructions.
• Cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Observes health and sanitation regulations.
• Attends the Food Safety Basics Class as required.
• Receives, unpacks, stores, and rotates food and supply stocks.
• Serves food to students and staff.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, serving areas, coolers, preparation surfaces, and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Kitchen Manager.

Requirements

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB test (less than 12 months ago), a copy of your test results is acceptable. If it's been more than 1 year, you will need to obtain a new test (employees are responsible for the cost).
• Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must submit a pre-employment physical prior to the first day of work.
• Completion of Food Basics Safety Class within 2 months of hire.
• Able to work harmoniously with others.
• Requires standing for long periods of time.
• Maintains high standards of sanitation and personal cleanliness.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Reliable references.

Pay

Starting salary: $15.60/hour.

Schedule

7.5 hours per day, 6:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Anticipated start date: August 14th, 2026.
