Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join HCA Healthcare at any one of our 7 hospital locations in Kansas City. Hospitals include: Overland Park Regional Medical Center (Overland Park, Kansas), Menorah Medical Center (Overland Park, Kansas), Belton Regional Medical Center (Belton, Missouri), Lee's Summit Medical Center (Lee's Summit, Missouri), Centerpoint Medical Center (Independence, Missouri), Research Medical Center (Kansas City, Missouri), Research Psychiatric Center (Kansas City, Missouri), and Lafayette Regional Health Center (Lexington, Missouri).
Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled in nursing school
- Junior status in an Registered Nurse degree program
- Enrolled in Nursing Fundamentals course which must be completed by Start Date
- May apply and accepted a position while enrolled in class
Responsibilities
- Providing essential care for patients by helping with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Checking vital signs
- Supporting mobility
- Ensuring comfort and hygiene
- Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter care, collecting specimens, and other basic procedures
- Documenting care accurately and communicating timely updates with the nursing team
- Helping patients and families understand their care plans and offering guidance for their health and recovery
- Keeping patient areas clean and safe by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and maintaining an organized environment
- Engaging in learning opportunities, sharing ideas to improve care, and partnering with your supervisor or preceptor to build your personal career development plan
