Student - Navigator Peer Guides

Newman University is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Peer Guides to support incoming students in Flight Planning classes for Fall 2026. This is a part-time position located in Wichita, KS.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills, mentor new students, make a positive impact on campus, and gain valuable experience working with incoming freshmen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for incoming freshmen on social, personal, and academic issues.
• Lead discussions and activities during Flight Planning classes.
• Help new students and their families become familiar with university policies, procedures, campus resources, and student activities.
• Support the overall success of the Navigator Program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills.
• Be responsible, reliable, creative, energetic, and self-motivated.
• Work well as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor.
• Understand and support the goals and philosophy of the Navigator Program.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be a full-time Newman student (enrolled in 12 hours or more).

Pay

$400 stipend
