Student - Mom Fulton's Cafe Team Member

Under the direction of the Manager of Starbucks, the Barista serves UVU students, staff, and faculty by creating beverages according to Starbucks Corp recipes and customer requests.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: Closed
• Must be available to work 4 consecutive hours per shift:
  • Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:30 AM–1:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Serves as a representative of both the UVU Bookstore and Starbucks Corporation, providing the best beverage experience possible.
• Ensures beverages are made to Starbucks standards and recipes according to customer requests.
• Processes cash, credit card, and mobile payments, providing accurate change as needed.
• Adheres to strict guidelines for product date tagging, rotating stock, and cleaning the work area.
• Displays and sells bottled beverages, sandwiches, and snacks.
• Restocks and cleans the work area.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a current UVU student.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus three months of related experience.
• Valid Food Handler’s permit.

Skills

• Knowledge of effective customer service techniques.
• Skills in preparing Starbucks beverages.
• Ability to repeatedly lift merchandise.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
• Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
