About the role
Fitness and Recreation strives to help all student employees develop their career readiness upon graduation. Student Employees are applying academic learning by developing workforce competencies, per The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) guidelines which are: Critical Thinking/Problem Solving, Oral/Written Communications, Teamwork/Collaboration, Digital Technology, Leadership, Professionalism/Work Ethic, Career Management, and Global/Intercultural Fluency.
Responsibilities
- Run register for sales and membership, adhering to all proper payment handling processes.
- Provide program and service information, both in person and on the telephone.
- Enforce facility policies.
- Assist with data entry.
- Respond during emergency situations.
- Clean and maintain the center.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Skills
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good customer service skills.
- Computer and data entry skills.
- At least 18 years old.
Qualifications
- Selected applicants will be required to become CPR/AED certified through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Training will be provided by the hiring department.
