Student Intramural Official 1 - Campus Recreation Programs

About the role

This position supports Campus Recreation by assisting with the Intramural Sports program through various administrative and operational tasks.

Hourly Pay Rate: $11.00

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and fun atmosphere in a competitive environment
• Implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules to maintain fairness and safety
• Make quick decisions and keep control of the game
• Oversee the Intramural Sports contest to ensure safety of all participants
• Attend all in-service training, meetings, and office hours
• Complete annual certifications
• Assist in setting up equipment for evening and/or weekend activities
• Assist with roster sign-in, collect student identification, and check Intramural Rosters to confirm player eligibility
• Complete necessary post-game forms
• Close down activities and collect equipment
• Select, utilize, clean, organize, and repair intramural sports equipment

Requirements

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• Federal Work Study Award (potentially required)
• CPR/FA/AED certification (potentially required)
• Previous experience in sports playing and/or officiating (preferred)
