About the role

The Fiscal and Operational Support Division assists divisions with purchasing, accounts payable, budget preparation, reporting, database reconciliation, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This student intern position reports directly to the Assistant Manager of the Fiscal and Operational Support Division within the Planning, Environmental & Development Services (PEDS) Department to assist with various fiscal assignments and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly salary journal vouchers
  • Assist with reconciling accounts
  • Review files for compliance
  • Assist with administrative assignments
  • Assist with special projects
  • Monitor extended leave authorizations for the department
  • Other assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Business Management, Accounting, Public Administration, or a closely related field

Preferences

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Pay

Pay Grade: 406 - From $16.40 to $16.95 per hour
