Campus Operations Support Intern

Reports to: Campus Operations & Events Director. Part-time role (minimum 10 hours per week) at WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church in Silicon Valley.

About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, warm, and reliable Campus Operations Support Team Member to provide exceptional maintenance and upkeep of our campus facilities. This role supports the team in proper stewardship of ministry assets, enabling staff and congregants to effectively reach those far from God to learn and live the way of Jesus together.

Responsibilities

• Team-related projects focused on campus operations, improvements, and beautification.
• Unlocking and disarming buildings; maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming environments.
• Routine custodial tasks, stocking, litter and debris removal.
• Setting up and resetting rooms for services, meetings, and events.
• Providing event support, including setup and tear-down for special events.
• Participating in campus enhancement projects (landscaping, painting, beautification, and other facility improvements).
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stand for extended periods.
• Perform walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling.
• Navigate stairs.
• Demonstrate finger and hand dexterity for computer, instrument, and tool operation.
• Possess specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
• Lift and carry up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.

Work Conditions

• Operate in a professional office or church environment with standard equipment (computers, printers, filing cabinets, telephones).
• Work in settings with various equipment, cables, stage lights, loud sounds, and visual stimuli.
• Typical workdays are Sunday–Thursday, with occasional Fridays, Saturdays, or evenings as needed.

Schedule

• Available shifts are offered based on need at any WestGate Campus location.
• While efforts are made to offer regular opportunities, hours are not guaranteed.
• Declining offered shifts may result in fewer total hours worked.
• After-hours shifts (Fridays & Saturdays) are typically not required unless part of a larger team for major events.

Pay

$18.45 per hour.
