Student Food Service Worker (Anderson University)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly store food, adhering to temperature requirements and avoiding spoilage.
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products, and utensils.
• Engage with guests in the serving, retail, and dining areas, following proper guest service procedures such as smiling, maintaining eye contact, and greeting guests.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment according to client and regulatory guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a high pace and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while performing duties.

Requirements

• Must be a current student on campus.
• Capable of working a flexible part-time schedule on campus.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Show a strong work ethic.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with other team members and other departments.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.
