We are looking for a Student Financial Management Specialist to serve in the Student Financial Management Center at our Atlanta campus. The specialist is primarily responsible for providing excellent in-person and telephone customer service within a high-volume environment to students, parents, and the university community about financial aid and student account processes. This position also assists with outreach efforts to support enrollment and retention objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides information to students, parents, colleagues, and the university community regarding financial aid and student accounts via phone and in-person, adhering to federal, state, Board of Regents, and institutional regulations
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues related to financial aid and student accounts
  • Reviews the accuracy of financial aid applications and verifies information with supporting documentation
  • Evaluates financial circumstances to determine appropriate student account payment options
  • Assists with community outreach efforts, including calling campaigns, financial management workshops, and orientation presentations for students, parents, and university staff
  • Counsels students on enrollment management issues, including admissions, registration, and academic records

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience, or a combination of education and related experience

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience (preferred)
  • Financial aid and student accounts experience (preferred but not required)
  • Working knowledge of Banner and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$42,000

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:15 PM
