About the role
The Department of Art is looking for a student employee with graphic design experience to assist in the Graphic Design Lab.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain order in the Graphic Design area.
- Perform assigned tasks involving rearranging, cleaning, planning, and setup during the semester.
- Ensure accurate lab hours are posted in clearly visible locations.
- Troubleshoot basic Mac computer issues, including force quitting applications and restarting computers.
- Assist students with technical problems to the best of your ability.
- Maintain proficiency with software such as Adobe Creative Suite and iMovie.
- Develop and maintain a high degree of knowledge regarding lab printing equipment; study resources and manuals for all printers.
- Keep the lab and classroom environment clean and ensure students follow established lab rules.
- Report any concerns to the supervisor via email as soon as possible.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time student with a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Must be a Graphic Design major who has passed the graphic design review.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on a Mac.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment.
- Awareness of current best practices in creating accessible documents is a plus.
