About the role
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care duties for designated imaging patients and clerical tasks supporting the department. The incumbent will perform procedures and provide personal care while ensuring the surroundings are clean, orderly and well-stocked.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care duties for designated imaging patients
- Perform procedures and provide personal care
- Ensure the surroundings are clean, orderly and well-stocked
- Support the department with clerical tasks
Requirements
- Imaging student actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Active Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiology Student Permit required
- Knowledge of RIS for training and problem resolution
- Knowledge of PACs for training and problem resolution
- Knowledge of principles of good personal hygiene and aseptic techniques
- Good communication skills and public relations skills
- Ability to set priorities and manage a high workload within limited time for completion
- Ability to observe patients and report any changes to the technologist
- Ability to organize tasks
Qualifications
Requires active enrollment in an accredited imaging program.
