Student Counselor

Responsibilities

• Conducting counseling sessions for students.
• Consult with faculty, staff, and parents regarding student concerns and make referrals to appropriate resources, both on and off-campus.
• Develop and implement outreach programs and workshops to promote student well-being and prevent mental health issues.
• Carry out assessments to identify student needs and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling interventions.
• Create annual reports.
• Oversee and supervise junior psychologists.
• Plan the annual calendar.
• Oversee and plan workshops and events.
• Conduct workshops for students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
• Psychologist with 3-5 years’ experience in academic institutions needed for a part-time role.
• Experience in providing counseling services to students in a higher education setting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of student development theory and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
