About the role
DOTS International is looking for a motivated, responsible, and career-oriented Student Counsellor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students regarding higher education opportunities abroad, university selection, admission procedures, and application processes.
Responsibilities
- Counsel students and guardians regarding higher study opportunities abroad.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and financial capabilities to recommend suitable universities and courses.
- Provide accurate information about admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, intakes, and application procedures.
- Guide students throughout the university application and admission process.
- Assist students with preparing and organizing required documents, including SOP, CV, LOR, academic and financial documents.
- Provide basic guidance regarding student visa requirements and procedures.
- Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students and existing applicants.
- Communicate with universities, students, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
- Maintain updated records of students, applications, and follow-up activities.
- Handle phone calls, emails, social media inquiries, and walk-in clients professionally.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, presentations, and promotional activities.
- Achieve assigned student counselling and enrollment targets.
- Stay updated about university admission policies, scholarship opportunities, intakes, and visa-related information.
- Prepare regular reports on counselling, applications, and enrollment progress.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
