Student CNA Class
To be considered for the State Certified Nurse Aide training program at NHC HealthCare Columbia, please provide:
- A completed application
- A valid photo identification
- A social security card
The program lasts 10 days with no absences or tardiness allowed. A grade average of 85 is required to continue. A $40 deposit for books and supplies is collected on the first day, and these are returned upon graduation. One set of scrubs must be purchased for daily use during classes and clinicals.
A criminal background check and consultation with the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults are conducted. Individuals with felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or those listed on the abuse registry are not eligible.
If selected, you will receive a phone call from NHC HealthCare Columbia on or before Friday before the class at 10:00 AM. Candidates are chosen based on facility needs, shift availability, entrance exam scores, flexibility, and attitude.
Upon successful completion of the course, employment opportunities may be available.
