Student Assistant - Swim Lesson/Water Safety Instructor - University Recreation

Essential Functions

• Ability to swim and teach swim lessons.
• Availability to work from May through August.
• Knowledge of facility’s emergency action plan and how to engage it.
• Availability immediately before and after each class to answer participant questions, respond to concerns, and consider suggestions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse population.
• Ability to use sound judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to follow APSU guidelines, policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness.
• Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community, and the public.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential in this position.
