Student Assistant - SACC

About the role

Responsible for assisting the supervisor and program aides in the care and nurturing of children in a safe and welcoming environment, implements activities and helps in carrying out the daily routine of the program.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting activities and special events
• Communicates with the other SACC members
• Assists in the snack preparation and serving
• Assists to keep supplies and equipment in order
• Daily set-up/clean-up of program
• Interacts positively, using constructive guidance in appropriate social interactions and expected standards of behavior
• Enforces SACC policy
• Serves as a positive role model for the children
• Encouraging children's participation in multiple program activities
• Greets and interacts with parents daily, sharing positive information about a child whenever possible
• Interacts with parents, children, school personnel, and SACC staff in a positive, professional, and cooperative manner; refer appropriate
