Student Assistant - FWS - Asset & Logistics
About the role
This position provides support to the Housing and Residential Education, Asset & Logistics business unit in the area of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Shipping and Receiving. The job may require physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist‑finger movement to safely perform the possible functions of the position. Staff members are to follow safe practices at all times while performing tasks. Safety supplies such as safety gloves, eye protection, masks and back braces are available upon request. The position receives instruction in the form of ongoing assignments, work orders, projects and tasks assigned by HRE Asset & Logistics staff. It requires strict attention to detail, safety and accountability of assets, supplies, materials, vehicles, keys and access cards.
Responsibilities
- Providing assistance to Asset & Logistics staff in overall daily operations as requested: scanning, filing, data entry, and inventory
- Assisting staff with the inventory of parts/commodities in both the warehouse and assorted closets and storerooms.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled USF student
- Must have a current Federal Work Study
