STUDENT ASSISTANT - COSTUME SHOP - DRAMA POOL
Position Information
The purpose of this position is to provide support for Drama productions by sewing, repairing, altering, costume crafts, cleaning, ability to assist with purchasing costume supplies. The Student Assistant performs basic maintenance of the costume wardrobe and the facility while under direct supervision.
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Student Assistant assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. AN APPLICATION IS VALID FOR ONE YEAR, AT WHICH TIME APPLICANTS WISHING TO REMAIN IN THE POOL MUST REAPPLY AND UPDATE THEIR INFORMATION.

Job Duties
- Assists in all aspects of costume production.
- Costume sewing, altering and repair, either by machine or hand.
- Costume Crafts and Assisting with pricing research for purchasing costumes at thrift stores or online.
- Aid in cleaning the workroom & costume storage areas and costume maintenance.
- Unload costumes and wardrobe purchases (boxes) from car into shop. Move costumes (several at a time on hangers) from storage to shop, theater or dressing rooms.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
