Student Assistant, Athletics Graphic Design (Summer)
About the role
Athletics Graphic Design Student Assistant will organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress, formulate design concepts, presentations, sign templates, layouts and other collateral from initial idea to final execution, present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to full-time staff, prioritize and filter work coming from multiple departments, design digital advertisements, print, and promotional materials, work with images from various photographers, comping images to use on design layouts, meet all deadlines, and contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives.
Responsibilities

- Design digital advertisements, print, and promotional materials
- Work with images from various photographers, comping images to use on design layouts
- Meet all deadlines
- Contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status
Qualifications
- Must know design programs on a Macintosh computer, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Font Management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
- Practice a professional attitude when working with outside vendors
- Develop good rapport with other members of the Athletics Department
- Maintain an approachable persona as well as organized and respectful communication with all other departments
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure a cohesive message and look across all design projects and materials
- Able to gain and maintain working knowledge of NCAA, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Currently enrolled in Visual Communication, Advertising or similar major

Schedule
Mainly Tuesday/Thursdays. Dependent upon class schedule: 10-20 hours/week
Pay
Targeted salary $8.00-$9.50 per hour based on experience
