About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate educator to join our team as a K-12 teacher in an alternative certification program. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students and are eager to contribute to a supportive and innovative educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and success.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance instruction.
  • Adhere to state and district educational standards and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (required).
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility for alternative certification (required).
  • Experience working with K-12 students in a classroom or educational setting (preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
