Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to students and their families in personal and interpersonal adjustment, academic concerns, career and life planning.
- Provide and connect students and their families to community resources, institutional resources, and public assistance referrals and support.
- Conduct Student referrals to counseling resources and other services as appropriate to offices on and off campus as needed.
- Responsible for providing excellent customer services while disseminating accurate information to prospective and current students and their families regarding admissions policies, registration, financial aid & scholarships as well as many others via multiple venues including in person, phone calls email and text.
- Create and provide presentations on and off campus (outreach) to small and large groups as needed.
- Participation in event planning, setup and tear down.
- Food pantry operations to include, but not limited to: shopping, stocking, inventory, student work study supervision, loading and unloading, assisting students shopping in the Comfort Casita, and assisting with the Comfort Casita Sustainability Plan.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred qualifications include bilingual skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity. Lifting Requirements: Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
