Responsibilities
- Manage SIS systems for timely processing and posting of charges and payments.
- Ensure customer service support for students, parents, and third-parties via in-person visits, email, and phone calls.
- Assist with billing of credit and clock hour student tuition and fees, including adjustments through the appeals process.
- Supervise billing for third-party sponsorships, contract billing, HSDE, and shared programs.
- Enforce College’s payment policies and assist with dropping students for non-payment.
- Work with the Early Learning Center to bill and collect payment for pre-school students.
- Maintain College payment plans for credit and clock hour students, including setting up plans, billing, and applying late payment fees.
- Oversee collections procedures for delinquent accounts, including coordinating with third-party collections agencies and processing payments collected by the agencies.
- Prepare and distribute annual 1098-T tax forms.
- Transmit financial aid disbursements approved by the financial aid office weekly, collaborating with the Financial Aid Office to update balances and return uncashed refunds.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and College policies and regulations, including Title IV cash management rules, FERPA, and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Support the registration process by participating in registration events.
- Participate in the College's annual audit process.
- Provide additional support to the Student Accounts Director as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in a higher education Student Accounts/Bursars position, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of student information systems and FERPA regulations.
- Experience with financial aid refunding and Title IV compliance.
- Familiarity with higher education finance regulations and best practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral, for interacting with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with MS Office with above average skill level in Microsoft Excel.

Pay
$55,660 to $63,407 (commensurate with experience)
