Stucco (exterior finish coats)

About the Role

Installation of a three-coat stucco system on new-construction residential or commercial projects. Work includes application of weather-resistive barrier, metal lath, scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat, plus installation of control joints, weeps, and custom color/texture as specified in project plans.

Responsibilities

• Apply weather-resistive barrier to sheathing
• Install metal lath, control joints, and weep screed per code and plans
• Mix and apply scratch coat to proper thickness and texture
• Mix and apply brown coat, ensuring flat, plumb, and true surfaces
• Apply finish coat with specified color and texture (e.g., dash, lace, skip-trowel)
• Cut and install casing beads, corner aids, and other accessories
• Inspect and repair any cracks, voids, or delamination before final acceptance
• Clean tools, equipment, and work area daily
