Role Overview
Structures Foreman
Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
- Perform multiple technical skills, being proficient in at least four areas of structural operations: steel erection, forming and constructing overhangs, substructure concrete, and pile driving.
- Drive piles, working off the ground to position piles in leads and climbing ladders up to 60 feet.
- Assemble and guide steel and concrete girders into final positions, handling as needed to preset.
- Construct and install formwork for concrete structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and assist the Supervisor with the formulation of work plans.
- Communicate construction needs, such as materials, equipment, and staffing, to the Superintendent.
- Provide clear directions and answer questions from the crew.
- Maintain effective communication with management to prevent delays.
- Inspect work areas throughout the construction process to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Verify that all work meets project specifications and productivity goals.
- Operate and oversee the use of construction equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and operation.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
- Five years of related experience and training.
- Proven experience in structural construction and foreman roles.
- Proficiency in at least four areas of structural operations: steel erection, form/construct overhangs, substructure concrete, and pile driving.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze plans and specifications.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond to changing situations.
- Able to prioritize tasks and complete work on schedule.
- Effective communication of plans and work schedules to crew and management.
- Able to collaborate and work effectively as a team.
- Able to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Able to formulate sound decisions using available information.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a truck.
- Able to use a smartphone, iPad, and computer.
Requirements
- All Applicants must be: 18 years of Age.
- Able to pass a Drug Test.
- Legally Eligible to Work in the US.
- Open to working different shifts if needed by the project.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license preferred).
- Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools).
- Willingness to travel for project requirements (multi-state opportunities).
