Position Summary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, including minor and major repairs, modifications, and fabrication of structural parts.
- Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and repair drawings to determine repair methods and ensure compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Using hand and power tools to cut, drill, assemble, and install aircraft structural components, working with materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites.
- Inspecting for damage, corrosion, and wear, and taking corrective action to restore structural integrity.
- Completing documentation and maintenance records to comply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Education: High School/GED, Aircraft experience, A&P certificate (if applicable), MRO experience preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in area of responsibility working on aircraft structures, ability to use tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understanding of aircraft materials and components, structural design principles, repair and fabrication methods, aircraft systems, regulations and safety, blueprint and schematic reading, precision measurement, tool proficiency, inspection and analysis, problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, physical dexterity and stamina, adaptability, teamwork and independence, safety focus.
Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
