Structured Cabling Technician - Cincinnati, OH
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install/service equipment at customer locations across USA
- Able to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
- Ensure the job site operates to Velocity and customer standards
- Effectively and professionally communicate and interact with internal and external customers
- Troubleshoot and diagnose managed devices
- Repair, maintain, and install telecommunications infrastructure
- Responsible for managing helper technicians and ensuring they follow all established processes
- Display professional presentation at all times at customer sites
- Complete and maintain administrative tasks/paperwork such as timesheets and expense reports
- Complete additional tasks as required
Qualifications, Experience and Education
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years steady work experience
- Able to obtain certifications required for aerial lifts
- Must have valid drivers license and able to be insured
- Able to repetitively push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Minimum of 2 years experience customer service preferred
- Willingness to travel 95% up to and including consecutive overnight stays
Preferred Candidates
- 2 years in installation, field services or similar background
- Minimum 1-year low voltage experience
