Structured Cabling Laborer (Logistics Support) - Rayville, LA

Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling Logistics Installer for hyperscale data center projects. Responsibilities include material handling, installation, assembling, and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of structured cabling systems, including fiber optic and copper cabling
• Support low voltage installation tasks such as cable pulling, routing, labeling, and basic terminations
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit utilizing various hand tools
• Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)
• Lift, position, and fasten objects as required for installation support
• Operate equipment based on project requirements: Bobcat/Skid-steer, Forklift/Telehandler, Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
• Prepare, handle, stage, and supply materials and tools to support electrical and cabling trades
• Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment
• Absorb and dismantle low voltage carrier systems
• Follow safety procedures and work under immediate supervision
• Build relationships with diverse team members and provide professional customer service
• Perform general labor duties as needed to maintain project flow

Qualifications

• Relevant experience preferred
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret documents, work with tools, and operate equipment
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented and active listener
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance
